The broth was incredibly delicious. I dine in twice and once to take away a chicken pie (the pie kept warm wonderfully; it was still hot an hour later – I took it outside Jinsha to tide me over while waiting for the night view). The shrimp and scallops were also excellent (both had three shrimp, and they weren't small). The wall next to the restaurant features murals that reflect the restaurant's unique atmosphere.
I come by recommendation, the shepherd pie was the best one I had in my life. Regretted that I ordered a single person portion which cost around $6.60 (think so). Should have ordered the whole portion $33+++ (sorry can't remember the exact amount) But 4 of us ordered the large crab 🦀 bee hoon laksa ($78++) and it was delicious 😋. It's not to spicy for me, and the bee hoon was soak to perfection in the laksa. Best of it is the crab is fresh. 100% coming back for their shepherd pie and also their chicken pie.
Finally — a pet café where my furson actually finishes his food. That alone deserves 5 stars 🐾 Humans are very well fed too — the crab (chor) bee hoon soup is rich and comforting, with meaty crab, while the lala & prawn (you) bee hoon is spicy, flavourful, and my personal favourite (the prawns are big and juicy). Quality ingredients, proper air-conditioned dining for furkids, and even gold-plated cutlery for us — talk about dining in style. Come for the food, stay for the vibes. Fursons approved 🐶✨
Tried this place for the first time and was really pleasantly surprised! The crab bee hoon was very tasty. Soup was thick and flavourful. Crab was fresh and meaty. Cheese cake was nice also. The service is good, they ensured our water was refilled constantly. Will visit again if I have crab craving again.
Im so happy with the service and reception here. They received us so warmly with my maltipoo and the food is sooooo good. And the prices are reasonable! Most pet friendly places are so overpriced, MINUS the aircon environment mind you! This will be my new favourite place to dine with my furkid now on! Thank u team, love your friendly and warm attitudes, especially towards my fur-baby ❤️
A great place, history & food. My dad used to buy chicken pie from Don’s very frequently, when I was younger. Have never been able to find another chicken pie that could rival Don’s. Love this place so much & love their food!!! Oh & they’re pet friendly as well.
We ordered Lala & Prawns Bee Hoon and loved it lots! Lala & Prawns were XL in size and very fresh (seldom come across places that serve fresh prawns these days). Don’t think you can find this soup taste elsewhere. Will be back to try the other dishes. 😋 Staff were friendly and helpful too. 👍🏻
Dog friendly place, do reserve early as they only have two tables which allows dogs. Don pie still taste the same after so many years. The seafood soup is a must try, very flavourful and the added herbs go well!
Very worth it for the price for the prawn noodle Pet friendly but must be leashed. Wifi available Ratings Pricing : - reasonable Service : excellent Food : tasty Environment: cosy Delivery : fast Covid measures : excellent Pet friendly 🐶🐾✅
I have eaten Don's pies since I was a kid when my parents would by for me. I am glad Don has reopened his own place and brought back the ORIGINAL standard that I tasted 20 years ago. The pastry is fragrant, the chicken chunks are well present. Over the years, the taste from other outlets changed and degraded, but now eating the pie from his own shop now in 2022 brings back memories.
Been enjoying Don’s chicken pie for a long time, first time trying his crab bee hoon. I can only say it’s a wonderful rendition of the dish, not too ‘gelat’ and the portion is just nice for two. Have to add the chilli is perfect. Will definitely be back for more pies and crab.
A very delightful serving of white beehoon with the tasty broth and chunks of prawns and lala at a very affordable and more than reasonable price! The chicken pies (and Shepherd) are great as well, so much ingredients inside that give you satisfaction to every mouth and cut of the pie. Try it and you will love it! Ps. This review was at the new outlet. They have moved to the new location at 39 Tyrwhitt Road.
Really rich and umami broth! The portion was HUGE with an abundance of ingredients. The one pax serving fed 2 adults well. Chicken pie was yummy. I liked the chic decor as well.
Top notch laksa, crab beehoon, cheesecake, and of course pie at this cosy pet-friendly eatery. Will definitely be returning and trying more of the menu.
Amazing taste and quality of the dishes. I ordered the black pepper chicken pie as well as the crab bee hoon. The crabs were so fresh and the soup was extremely delicious! Perfect for a rainy day! The black pepper chicken pie crust was soft but crispy, the filling portions were generous and really good! Parking was very convenient as well with the stadium nearby, you get hundreds of lots just a quick walk away. I highly recommend the place! I'm going to try the la la next!
Had the chicken pie quite a few times there and I had to say the black pepper chicken pie is fantasy!!!! Their laksa is also a must try! No idea how their prawns and scallop can be so big and fresh

I am a westerner, from New Zealand where we love pies.
After seeing an advertisement on Facebook I went to Tyrwhitt road and purchased 2 x personal chicken pies to take home.
I was very impressed…
Firstly, the pies…Excellent ! Far exceeded my expectations. Best chicken pie I have had in 11years in Singapore. Large, very full and amazing pastry.
Secondly, the staff…Very friendly and efficient service.
Thirdly…Everything… counter, signage, cabinets etc…looked very clean.
I will definitely return and will also recommend to friends.

First time at Don Pie to try their highly raved about pies & food. The pies were yummy & buttery! Their crabs, bee hoon all come in personal as well as sharing portions, which is a good idea. In addition, prices are very reasonable for the food The staff are very friendly and accommodating as well. Overall, a very fun & informal dining experience.

Been a long time supporter of Don and his delicious pies and crab beehoon. Our good friend who lives in Switzerland came back to SG to visit and we brought her to Don’s place last evening. And we really had a great time. Everything we ordered was fabulous and we also had a great time chatting with you. Immaculate service and excellent food! We will be back for more!

Very tasty lala bee hoon soup.
I’ve tried the crab version too, but much prefer the former. The broth of crab version tasted too much of generic seafood for my liking.
The pies are pretty good too, but they smell strongly of either butter or margarine.

Other than the unprepossessing location, this a wonderfully chic and Instagram friendly cafe/restaurant/bakery? Loved the pies, fresh, buttery and choc-full of ingredients. Would recommend the black pepper chicken as it’s scrumptious.

First time visiting tonight and Chicken Pie Kitchen will be adding another loyal customer to their house haha. Had the prawn beehoon soup and the black pepper pie, both are amazing! Absolutely love the broth and the slight herbal taste from the very good quality danggui aka Angelica slices. I can imagine some people can get caught off guard with the taste, but being a Chinese local girl who loves herbal soups, this is honestly awesome. Ambience is impeccable too, pretty cafe vibes but with warm local food, honestly I wish there are more F&B establishments like this in Singapore!
Service is amazingly friendly and homely from all the staff, particularly Michael who kept checking with us if everything is on point. Truly appreciate such personalised service!
This place is truly a gem. Keep up the great work! 😊
I ordered the lala and prawn mee hoon (medium) and black pepper prawn and scallop mee hoon (regular) for 3 pax. The lala and prawn mee hoon was good except too saltish for our taste. But the black pepper prawn and scallop mee hoon was too sweet.
I ordered the signature chicken pie as takeaway for a friend, as I like their chicken pie and have been buying since they first started.

A cosy restaurant that serves great food. The black pepper crab was spicy and savoury. The spice really gives a kick. The fried mantou was hot and crispy and was good with the chilli crab sauce. My only bugbear was a lack of tomato taste that you usually get with chilli crab.. but my colleagues did enjoy the spicy sauce. The pies were good as well although the walnuts in the apple pie left a bitter aftertaste that we thought spoilt the taste of the pies. Prices were a bit on the high side, but quality of the food was good.

Last minute decided to try this as we lost our way to another place. A comfortable small restaurant with very cozy design. Menu mainly serves pie, bee hoon and some traditional cakes.. Quite an usual combination but not an issue at all. The bee hoon portion is big and meant to be shared even for regular. I am not a pie person so my favourite there is white bee hoon with Prawn (forgot to take that photo.. Hah) . The soup is very rich.

Although they are called “Chicken Pie Kitchen”, they also do seafood. Very good prawn bee hoon and laksa! Their scallops are huge too.
The Cheesy Crab Bee Hoon is Very Tasty as the soup is thick and very flavorful, the cheese taste is thick but not overwhelming. Will come back again. Service is good too.

The signature cheese white bee hoon crab noddles is delicious. The chicken pie is sold out at evening time, so we tried their curry pie which is yummy too 😉
The food is value for money. For the lala and prawn white bee hoon, the ingredients are fresh and the soup is very flavourful without being oily and heavy. The chicken pie is as good as ever. For the cheese cake slice, I like the hard base. Its size, level of sweetness and richness are just nice for me. It is enjoyment minus the guilt and a nice way to round off a good, light meal.
For takeaway food, sturdy cardboard boxes are used for the pie and cake while hot items are nicely packed. Service is friendly too.
I appreciate the cleanliness and the effort put into the decor: from the teal colour used in the eatery and cutlery, to the big round copper-coloured wash basin in the washroom.
Worth supporting!

I had the prawn beehoon soup today and this is a bowl of yumminess made with so much effort, heart and love. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, from the sweet prawns, fishcake and scallops to the beehoon and milk cabbage. The broth is so rich and flavourful that it sends a burst of satisfaction with every bite. We also love the cold drunken prawns and chilli sauce. And even though we are full and well satisfied from the food served, we felt we couldn’t leave without dabao-ing their rich and heavenly chicken pies.
Instead of ordering their signature, the crab bee hoon soup, I ordered the prawn bee hoon soup. Just as delicious and nil messy situation as I didn’t have to battle with the crabs.
For those rainy day cravings of yummy soup minus the crabs, ordering the prawn bee hoon is a great alternative. The S portion was enough for my husband and I.
The original chicken pie was really good as well.

Really like the pies, especially the crust on the original pie, flaky and buttery. It was served lukewarm at best which I think kinda diminished some of that warmth you want from a pie.

Don’s pies go way back to my school days but their standard really dropped after it got franchised out. I stopped eating them for quite a long time and was pleasantly surprised that the Chef restarted making the OG version himself again.
They’re now delicious again with that generous moreish filling and buttery pastry.
I come here more often for my seafood beehoon fix because it’s the only place out of home where the recipe contains a healthy serving of hua tiao, just how I love it. The gravy really tastes home made and has great depth of flavour without being overseasoned.
Their seafood is always fresh and the scallops in particular are perfectly done, with the roe being soft and succulent.
Price is really reasonable too.
My only gripe is that the joint is a bit squeezy and not too good for groups any larger than 4.

Ooh, a nice cozy spot to indulge in some scrumptious comfort food. A shame I’m allergic to crustaceans. But those chicken pies were as bomb as we used to know ’em! So was the stunner of an apple pie, which is a relatively new item on that menu. Schweet jobs, really! I dig the black pepper chicken pie like I always do.
Great place for chilling on weekends, with woody overtones and pine green palettes giving the whole joint an upmarket yet unpretentious cafe vibe. Cushty.

I had the pleasure of dining at this longstanding Crab Bee Hoon spot last night, and it was truly fantastic! The flavors were authentic and reminiscent of Singaporean cuisine, with fresh crab cooked to perfection, blending beautifully with the Bee Hoon. The laksa is a must try! The cozy ambiance and impeccable service enhanced the overall experience.
Their recent renovation includes a stunning VIP private dining room, ideal for larger groups. The environment is beautifully designed, adding to the dining charm.
Additionally, their banana pie with ice cream was a highlight — generous portions and exquisite flavors made it a perfect ending to the meal. Their homemade lychee sparkling tea was also delightful, refreshing, and complemented the dishes wonderfully.
For anyone craving authentic Singaporean cuisine and delightful desserts in a cozy setting, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Easily the best Lala Prawn Beehoon I’ve ever tasted because there is no other prawn Beehoon better than this!
The chili crab is also very tasty eaten with fried mantao.
And we spent less than $100 for four people with two craft beer between us. The medium size portion was big enough to share with more than four people. We officially experienced food coma after our dinner. Definitely will go again!

Very tasty lala bee hoon soup.
I’ve tried the crab version too, but much prefer the former. The broth of crab version tasted too much of generic seafood for my liking.
The pies are pretty good too, but they smell strongly of either butter or margarine.
They were freshly out of pies so we enjoyed their delicious seafood noodles instead. While we were eating, they came over with a complimentary piece of cheesecake to make up for the lack of pies! Appreciate the sincerity of their service. They are generous with their ingredients as well.

Another petfriendly air conditioned place that we love! We ordered the prawn and scallop beehoon, 1 black pepper chicken pie and 1 original chicken pie. Super love everything and it’s reasonably priced! However, there’s limited seats for petfriendly area so recommend to reserve in advance.

One of the few pet friendly eateries which allows our furkid and us to dine indoors (aircon area). Food is reasonable portion and tastes great! The pies are good, flaky and got fillings which are tasty.
Food is great! Very good value! Space is nice, cozy. Pet-friendly! Service is superb! Shoutout to Laura and team for making me and my partner feel welcome! Will definitely be back!

Everyone comes here for crab bee hoon, tried it once but we came back here many times for the Prawn and Scallop Laksa! It’s realllllyyyy delicious. And the Banana Pie?! immaculate taste! It’s been a while since I had such a good dessert. Warm mushy bananas, grated coconut and cashew nut in a buttery crumbly pie. 🥹🥹🥹
